It's easy to mock Benidorm: it kind of epitomises a stereotype. But we found an excellent restaurant only one road back from the beach. Needless to say we were the only Brits - or, indeed, non-Spanish - in there. And it has also been pointed out to me that Benidorm is for *everyone* not like Marbella where a few rich people hog all the water for their exclusive golf and country clubs
