I like the idea of naming significant streets after recent notables.
There isn't enough of this in London, except for Council Estates - athletes near Herne Hill, ancient and (mostly) forgotten cricketers near the Oval, and the Clem Attlee Estate in Fulham, where the houses are named after members of the great 1945 government. I think we should have a greater recognition, in street names, of 20th century contributors to the Arts and Science. Of course, Berlin has been substantially rebuilt in the past 60 years.
