I thought Belle de Jour's storys where great and as for the comment "The overall effect is neither titillating nor shocking but merely mind-numbingly dull. It's easy to see how this found a large audience online; less easy to see who would pay 13 quid for the hardback edition when you could rent several porn videos for the price and get better dialogue.", I think the reviewer Stephanie Merritt has some sort of personal issues.

Karen

I'm basing my opinion on the blog, not having read the book, but I concur with Stephanie Merritt's review wholeheartedly. And I do not have personal issues of the kind suggested.

Vaughan

Less erotic. More erratic.

I thank you.

Mr.D.

With Vaughan on that one.

Inspector Sands

With Vaughan and Mr D on that one as well.

It got an ad in the Evening sub-Standard tonight, that typeface, it's cheesier than an old bag of Wotsits.
